Damn Dave, where the hell have you been?!
- That has got to be the most popular phrase
hitting my Instant Messenger and Myspace
mail lately. What can I tell ya, things have been busy.
Bad Dave! I know.. I'll make it up to you, I promise. We'll
start with a couple shots of Belvedere
and take it from there.
So now that I'm
sitting here figuring out what to write about for the
next issue of MORE, first thing I ask myself is, what
sucks? What keeps people from having a great time, enjoy
themselves, have great new experiences, and succeed in Life
/
Love / (and even) Career?...
I got it,.... it's not hard to recognize the buzzkill we all
have at some level. You all know that dreary, sorry
S.O.B. called:
I N H A B I T I O N (tion, tion tion, echo, echo echo)....
Ever see those Girls
Gone Wild videos, or even higher quility stuff like
the Gleny.com
Halloween Parade DVD. Why is everyone having such a
great time, and you wish you were there? Yeah, I know they are
drunk off their asses, but look beyond that (if you can). We're
seeing people who's personalities are not suffocated by inhabitiions.
Don't you get it?... really?, ok let me explain it this way
then.
Do you ever:
Feel nervious starting up a conversation with someone you don't
know but are really attracted to (or feel you can't, when you
wish you could)
Why? They're human just like you.
Feel apprehensive before speaking with any
authority figure (Boss, Cop, Family, ), then don't say all you
want to say. Or, alter the way you say it.. so it come sout
the way you think they want to hear.
Why? They're human just like you.
Get self concious becuase your clothes, shoes
(yes, I can't beleive how often I hear some people bitch about
their shoes), hair, makeup. Then shy away from the activity
because you're afraid people will notice there's something not
perfect about you?
Why? They're human just like you.
Call it Fear, Anxiety, Nervousness,
Self-Conciousness... whatever.
It all leads to your own inhabitions which keeps you from getting
/ going / seeing / hearing / feeling the things that you want.
Pretty stupid isn't it?
I mean it's your life, if you're gonna let inhabitions keep
you from getting the most out of it, that's your call. What
I loose patience for is when I hear the whining (I wish I had
this, I wish I could do that). What does wishing
do? Stop Cryin' and Start Tryin' . If you don't get what/where
you want, iI bet you'll be surprised at how close you actually
got... then next time you try, you won't have to go as far.
You'll get there/it... trust me.
OK, OK... let me balance this out.
I don't mean to become a complete ass (1,2,3)
with a total lack of logical inhabition (or better said, a lack
of common sense). Obviously if you take it too far you wake
up in the morning dreading the things you did last night (that,
at the moment you really can't remember). Or, you wake up next
to the biggest
mistake of your life. Just get out there have have
a great time and don't be afraid to go after the things that
you want. If no one else is doing it, then you be the one to
start up the shananigans
(Yes!!.. I got that word in again! BAM!!).
I'd suggest starting off with a few shots with everyone, a good
amount of dancing and posing for the camera, lead into some
body shots, then go with the flow from there.
Enjoy my goofy ass article?
Stop
by and drop me a note.
Didn't like it?
That's cool, just direct your comments to the nearest brick
wall... I'm a little too busy having a great time.
See you at the next round of shots!
-Dave
