JAMIE AND URSULA hit CALIFORNIA

Well folks, it was all I dreamed of. I wanted to go to Cali so bad and I finally got to go! With my trusty travel partner at my side, Jamie and I conquered Los Angeles, Hollywood, Santa Barbara, San Diego, La Jolla, Route One, Wilshire & Bundy, hot surfer boys and good food & drinks AND VISITING GOOD FRIENDS! It was an amazing trip.

Since Jamie is the writer of the group, I choose to express myself through pictures. Here are a few of my favorites:

This is me extramely excited I just set foot in california! We flew Jet Blue and the 37 channels helped us get through out horrific 9 HOUR FLIGHT! The winds were so bad on the way that we had to touch down in New Mexico to refuel!

In this pic Jamie and I just discovered Jamie's wonderful aunt, Beebe, ungraded our car to a CONVERTABLE! Now that we drove that the whole trip, I couldn't imagine driving in Cali without it!
Caption: Jamie's friend Kerri took us on an amazing tour of LA, Hollywood and Venice Beach. This pic is at the top of Mulhullond Drive overlooking LA. One of the things Jamie wanted to do so badly was to see the Hollywood sign...and we did!
The next 3 pics are from Venice Beach. I am a big fan of the movie "Lords of Dogtown" so I had to go to the place where it all happened. Jamie and I are both hams and love posing for pics are you can see! We got to watch the sunset for the first time on the ocean. It was an amazing experience. And we set our toes into the Pacific Ocean for the first time ever together!
Well, we moved onto Santa Barbara...along the way we went up Route One which was the most amazing ride! Mountains to your right, Beach to your left and palm trees sprinkled in the middle! The beach in SB was so beautiful. We spent about an hour up there just looking around, enjoying the sunny day and taking it all in. Gleny taught me some great photography tricks and I think I did well with the pics. And of course, once we were in town, I had to hug the mini palm tree

Ok so Jamie and I were driving on our way to San Diego and we see this familiary looking statue. We screech to a halt in front of it and realize we've seen it in Jam and I's favorite movie, Endless Summer II!!! SO we of course had to stop and check it out and take pics! But while we were taking pictures, I discovered the surfer was NAKED! yes, folks, there were balls...I felt so violated...hehehe

And of course you cant forget the world's best zoo!! I love going to the zoo and I love exotic animals so I was in heaven...poor Jamie wasn't as happy as I was with a nasty hangover but she was a trooper! I love flamingos, giraffes and ELEPHANTS!

What can I say, this trip was all I wanted. Jamie and I have practically travelled the world together and shes great. California was such a beaitufl place, I didnt want to leave. Our friends showed us everything we wanted to see. We had such great company with us and the sites were amazing! So Jamie, WHERE TO NEXT???

What is Gretchen up to?

Don’t be jealous that a fictional character is more popular than you are... And leads a more interesting life.

Gretchen has been asked on many dates, from coffee to alcohol to concerts. She had many men ask her to be their valentine, and some assume that she was there valentine. She is constantly being asked to add someone to her myspace page, and receives a new message every single day since its creation. The pet names continue, but the new trend has been to ask, "Where are you, Gretchen?" Well, Gretchen has been out in California, drinking too much legally on the beach and has had no time to woo these men with her evil and wily ways.
So... Instead of informing you about her potential suitors, I will give you a brief run down of the Left Coast. Things you should know if you ever decide to visit Southern California:

1) They play a lot of old rap on the radio. California Love by Tupac is huge. Biggie is up there, too, going going, back back, to Cali Cali... They also love their homegrown No Doubt.

2) It is legal to drink on the beach in San Diego.

3) There’s a naked surfer statue in Huntington Beach.

4) Both San Diego and L.A. are about a four hour drive from Vegas.

5) Mansions on top of hills overlooking the ocean have to have septic tanks. It isn’t pretty.

6) The Hollywood sign was a real estate ploy.

7) San Diego is a 20-30 minute drive from Tijuana. Which reminds me, another popular song is Mexican Radio by Wall of Voodoo. Check it out. You should know it.

8) The San Diego Zoo takes between 4 and 6 hours to walk around.

9) In N Out Burger really lives up to its hype. Make sure you order a double double animal style. They actually make their french fries right in front of your face, with a special machine that cuts the fries and places them in a vat. Get the Neopolitan milkshake (strawberry, vanilla, chocolate). It’s amazing.

10) This is where all the gorgeous 20-30 year old girls and guys have been hiding. Most are not from California originally. Most will leave within 2-3 years of their arrival. But they’re there...
